What information does GovDelivery collect? How is it used?

Your subscriber profile contains the details required to send you the information you request. It consists of your email address or mobile phone number, an optional password, the updates you are subscribed to and any further information requested by the organization whose updates you are subscribed to.

Communications Cloud uses this information to provide the services you request. GovDelivery never shares personally identifiable information with third parties for promotional purposes.

In most cases, client organizations using Communications Cloud have ownership of subscriber information and the privacy and use of that information is subject to that organization's separate privacy policy. 



From our privacy policy:

Communications Cloud collects personally identifiable information to the extent you specifically provide it. This includes, for example, the information provided during registration to receive subscriptions or notices related to a document provided by one of our clients.

Communications Cloud also stores your personal subscription preferences. Some organizations that use Communications Cloud may also request other information to better communicate and meet your needs. You may also be asked to protect your subscriber profile information with a password. Granicus never shares personally identifiable information with third parties for promotional purposes

Granicus does grant select outside vendors limited and controlled access to this information. These vendors only use the information to enhance Communications Cloud’s ability to deliver services to you and other customers; the vendors are bound to keep the information confidential. 

In most cases, Granicus’s clients using the service (such as governmental and public bodies) have ownership of the information and its privacy and use is subject to that client organization's separate privacy policy.

Granicus will share personally identifiable information with outside parties as required by law. Granicus uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to encrypt personal information before it travels over the Internet. SSL technology is the industry standard for secure online transactions.
