Transactional Message Macros

Transactional Message Macros are a standard set of macros that are available for every account. They are used primarily in the transactional messages that GovDelivery Communications Cloud automatically sends for your account, including new subscriber welcome messages, double opt in messages, password resets, and more.

These are the Transactional Message Macros available for use within your account:

CONFIRM_URL

The Confirm URL Macro resolves to the a double-opt-in URL. When the subscriber clicks this URL, his account is confirmed through the double-opt-in process.

The Confirm URL macro is recommended for use in:

  • Bulletins
  • Templates
  • Bulletin Footers
  • Transactional Messages

To use:

Type the following:

NEW_LOGIN_URL

The New Login URL Macro resolves to a link to the new login page, kicking off the subscriber creation process.

The New Login URL macro is recommended for use in:

  • Bulletins
  • Templates
  • Bulletin Footers
  • Transactional Messages

To use:

Type the following: 

[[NEW_LOGIN_URL]]

PASSWORD_RESET_URL

The Password Rest URL Macro resolves to a link to the subscriber password reset page.

The Password Reset URL macro is recommended for use in:

  • Bulletins
  • Templates
  • Bulletin Footers
  • Transactional Messages

To use:

Type the following:

[[PASSWORD_RESET_URL]]

SUBSCRIPTION_CREATED_DATE

The Subscription Created Date Macro resolves to the date that the profile was initially created (this may differ from the date the subscription was confirmed).

The Subscription Created Date macro is recommended for use in:

  • Bulletins
  • Templates
  • Bulletin Footers
  • Transactional Messages

To use:

SUBSCRIPTION_EXPIRATION_DATE

The Subscription Expiration Date Macro resolves to the date a subscription will expire for an unconfirmed subscriber.

The Subscription Expiration Date macro is recommended for use in:

  • Bulletin Footers
  • Transactional Messages

To use:
