Language Support

Our mission at Granicus is to enable you to reach every member of your community; no matter where they are or what language they speak.

Organizations that use Communications Cloud serve large and diverse communities, and often require the ability to communicate in a variety of written languages. Communications Cloud uses an industry standard to encode characters so that the vast majority of your subscribers will be able to render and read the bulletins you send them.

Communications Cloud uses the UTF-8 character set as a native encoding for the character data in our system, allowing us to store and represent those written languages. All modern browsers and email clients support the UTF-8 character set.

There are relatively few languages that are not supported, however a list of unsupported languages is available here.

It is important to note that Granicus does not offer translation services, and we do not translate any language to another language within our system.
